Katherine Carroll

As a almost newly-wed on the 2005 trip, Katherine could have been a little homesick. But her new artist friends rallied round and swept her off to island adventures. Even the phone call from home about her sick puppy didn't distract Katherine for very long, as you can see from her work (the pup made a full recovery, by the way.)

Katherine took the botanical drawing award in 2006 for the beautifully detailed "Jack in the Pulpit."
